Hughes Hercules – could it fly?

Yeh I reckon so. Look at the Spruce Goose closer: it’s actually made of a composite material comprised of birch wood and resin (plastic) compare this to latest tech materials such as carbon fibre – which is carbon twill fabric combined with resin. The engines were Pratt and Whitney Wasp Majors – the picture of one looks like it’s a four row radial! Each produced 3000hp!! There were 8 of these engines in total!!! That’s 24000 horse power!!!!
