Actually I ‘chanced’ upon it yesterday! I heard a F18 jet engine behind me and when I looked back to my utter surprise I saw a F4U Corsair! Its Supetcharger was sounding a lot like a F18 jet! As it flew past I could hear the pistons rumbling, but very low volume and very lazy. It was cruising at a low power setting and yet it was very quick. I was very pleased to spot this plane.
