The Babel Effect (The Great Vowel Shift)

I thought this was interesting, etymology is a subject related to (part of) history that need MUCH more exploration. Its a shock to see how recent some words were first recorded such as 1500’s. Looks like theres unwitting spell craft with many spoken English language words. A vow to god for examle, but which god? Janus apparently.
