SMOKO IN AUSTRALIA
Snakes in my experience are slandered creatures by humans.
Humans are terrified of snakes and have a fight or flight reaction to snakes which is mostly healthy, snakes have the same instinct. However in my experience the average personality of a snake is polite, forest friend, relaxing on a cliff overlooking a eroded creek on a hot day, motionless and spread out, enjoying the day. Or curled up near a hollow log, staying in that same spot by the log everyday. Or slowly slithering up a grassy hillside looking around for food. When alarmed snakes rapidly flicker their forked tongue out and in, sampling the air, trying to sense where the danger is coming from.
